Last season Arizona saw its season end in the second round of the NCAA tournament to the Tennessee Volunteers. Arizona was right there with the Tennessee all the way to the end losing 3-2 in a game that came down to the last few minutes.
Here are a few headliners to watch for head into the 2019 soccer season which is right around the corner starting August 16th.
- Brooke Wilson: In her freshman season Wilson had a setback suffering a broken leg in a freak injury at practice. Now entering her sophomore season she is fully expected to play a major role for the 2019 campaign.
- Arizona’s Defense: Arizona welcomes back its starting four defenders from last season with Morgan McGarry, Hallie Pearson, Sabrina Enciso, and Samantha Falasco.
- Goalkeeper Spot Open: Arizona have to replace senior goalie Lainey Burdett who posted a goal saved percentage of 79%. They will turn to Hope Hisey and Kendyll Humphreys to fill the void.

Arizona’s season starts with an exhibition game on the road versus San Diego on August 16th. The home opener is August 22nd versus Long Beach State at 6:30 p.m. local time.
