Golf: Ironwood Ridge girls take second at the Roar Classic in Goodyear

Sept. 13-14: Goodyear Tuscany Falls Golf Course

Ironwood Ridge took second place at the Roar Classic played on the East Course of the Tuscany Falls at Pebble Creek facility located in Goodyear. The Nighthawks shot an even-par 576 to come in 14 strokes behind Cactus Shadows. The Salpointe girls came in seventh in the 14-team field.

Individually, Nighthawk standout Zoe Newell (67-70 137) shot 7-under-par to finish in third place with Cactus Shadows standout Calynne Rosholt taking first place with a 15-under 129. Liberty’s Mattison Frick came in with a 10-under 134 to take second.

Salpointe standout Mackenzie McRee (69-71 140) came in fifth and Nighthawk standout Raina Ports (70-73 143) came in tenth.
