Gabriel Escalera & Maddie Greene finish in top three at the D-II Golf Play-In Tournament

Division II Golf Play-In Tournament: Oct. 22: Aguila Golf Course

According to the state tournament rules for Division II, the team champion and the team runner-up of the Play-In Tournament will advance to the state championship slated for Oct. 28-29.

The Rincon/University girls finished two shots behind the top two finishers and the Walden Grove boys finished in seventh place.

Walden Grove standout Gabriel Escalera finished in a three-way tie for second place, one shot behind Nik Kittilson of Seton Catholic and Rincon/UHS standout Maddie Greene came in third place on the girl’s side. Rincon/UHS standout Hannah Lee took fifth place.

Escalera and Greene are both within the projected cut as individuals for the state tournament.
