Safford Grinds out Win over Sabino

Up until Friday night Sabino had won four straight games with an average margin of victory of 31.5 points a game. During that time Sabino has shown the ability to have a balanced offensive attack and a stout defense.

On the other side of the field Safford came into the match-up they had won six games in-a-row storming their way to the playoffs. Last season Safford lost to Sabino by three point at home to end their regular season.

From the very start of the game Safford was able to run the ball at will, gaining 5 to 6 yards a carry wearing down the Sabino defense. However, Sabino was able to keep in the game during the first half going into the locker room down by 8. Eventually, Safford to control by scoring a quick touchdown to open up the third quarter making it 21-6 Safford.

Safford would go on to score another rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter with 5 minutes left making it 28-6. The score held up with Safford handing Sabino their third loss of the regular season with the playoffs starting next week.
