Zeke Nnaji named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for third time

Arizona freshman Zeke Nnaji was named the Pac-12 Conference Freshman of the Week for the third time this season.

Nnaji averaged 18.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and shot 59.1 percent from the floor (13-22), 2-of-2 from the 3-point line and 8-of-10 at the free throw line while guiding the Wildcats to a sweep of Utah and Colorado.

On Thursday against the Utes, Nnaji tied for game-high honors with 24 points while also adding eight rebounds on 9-of-12 shooting. He followed that up with 12 points and 12 rebounds against No. 20 Colorado on Saturday, his seventh double-double of the season and third in Pac-12 play.

Only Washington’s Isaiah Stewart (4) has claimed the freshman of the week honor more in the Pac-12 this season.
