Pueblo wins TUSD Boys Volleyball Invitational; Tucson Wins Owl Invite

TUSD INVITATIONAL
March 6-7: Sabino High School

Pueblo avenged a 2-1 setback against Flowing Wells to win the championship of the TUSD Invitational hosted by Sabino last Thursday and Friday. Flowing Wells (6-2 overall) beat Pueblo 2-1 (25-16, 20-25 and 15-5) to open up the tournament but Pueblo (7-1) battled back through the bracket to beat Flowing Wells 2-0 (25-21 and 25-22) in the championship match.

Pueblo travels to play St. Augustine (1-7) on Tuesday, Mar. 10 and Flowing Wells will host Ironwood Ridge (0-1) on the same night. Pueblo beat Ironwood Ridge 3-2 at home on Mar. 3 in a Freedom Match. The initial AIA rankings will be released on Mar. 31.
