Guess Who’s Back! Dejah Mulipola set to Join Arizona for 2021 Season

Just when you thought the anticipation for Arizona softball’s 2021 season couldn’t get any higher, it does massively with the return of U.S. Olympic catcher Dejah Mulipola for her senior season.

As for the Olympics that will take place July 23-August 8, 2021, Mulipola will still be part of the team. The difference this time is that Team USA has decided to let the college athletes play their seasons then join the team after the college softball season to get ready for the Tokyo games.

With the return of Mulipola, Arizona is welcoming back the 2019 Johnny Bench Catcher of the Year. In her Arizona career, she has a batting average of .320 with 47 home runs and 140 RBIs.

She is one of seven seniors who will return from this year’s team after the NCAA granted another year of eligibility because the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mulipola was to play in Japan this summer in the Olympic Games but the event was postponed until next year because of the coronavirus.

I don’t know if Arizona will win a national championship or not. However, one thing is sure, Arizona will be in the Top 5 to start this season with one of the best rosters in the country and welcoming the nation’s top-ranked recruiting class.
