CDO’s Adam Maldonado, Buena’s Jovany Featherston Announce College Intentions


Canyon del Oro football standout Adam Maldonado is moving on to play at Kansas Wesleyan and Buena basketball’s 5A Southern Player of the Year Jovany Featherston has committed to Wenatchee (Wash.) College.

Maldonado, who last season had 68 tackles last year, 10 for a loss, has good size at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds.

Featherston, a 5-foot-10 and 150-pound guard, averaged 17.5 points and 3.6 rebounds for the Colts (who finished 25-4 and 10-1 in the 5A Southern to claim the region title) this season. He shot 85 percent from the free-throw line.
