Arizona Football Lands Two Commitments

It has been a busy 48 hours for Kevin Sumlin and the Arizona football program with adding three recruits to the 2021 class.

The latest two commitments go along with the theme of rebuilding what has been an abysmal defensive unit.

The first commitment came late Monday morning from Kevon Garcia, who weighs 215 pounds and is a 6-foot-2-inch weak-side edge rusher out of Houston who has not quite exploded on the national recruiting scene. As it stands, Garcia has just two offers, from Houston Baptist and Norte Dame College.

Later around noon, Arizona received a second commitment from 5-foot-10-inch three-star safety Dalton Johnson from Katy, Texas., choosing Sumlin’s program over UNLV, Army, and Syracuse among others.

Here is an updated look at Arizona’s 2021b recruiting class that has had a strong focus on the defensive side of the ball.
