Santa Cruz Athletes Valerie Tarango and Emilio Gobea to Compete for Paradise Valley

Santa Cruz track and field athletes Valerie Tarango and Emilio Gobea will be competing for Paradise Valley CC according to their high school head coach Thomas Paredes.

Tarango competed in the Shot Put (32-0.5), Discus (94-0) and Javelin (93-7) in high school. Taranga’s personal records came right before the season was cancelled last spring.

Gobea is a mid-distance runner with personal bests in the 800 (2:28.93) and 1600 (5:50.29).
