Cienega junior outfielder/pitcher Isaiah Jackson announced his commitment to play for Arizona State Tuesday afternoon. Jackson batted .375 with four doubles and seven RBI last spring to help lead the Bobcats to a 7-1 record before the season was cut short.
Jackson’s older brother, Andre Jackson, graduated from Cienega in 2014 before moving on to play for Utah. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the 12th round.
The 2021 ASU roster includes former Ironwood Ridge standouts Seth Nager and Nathan Baez. ASU competes in the Pac-12 Conference.
I’m excited to share that I’ve verbally committed to play ball at Arizona State. Huge thanks to my family and coaches that helped me reach this point. I’m humbled by the opportunity to be part of a special program. #ForksUp@ASUBaseball@CienegaBasebal1@TucsonChamps@PBRArizona pic.twitter.com/3c2zd9Ktrt
