Cienega Football: Postgame Player Interviews vs. Ironwood Ridge

After both Cienega and Ironwood Ridge had their games canceled on them, that left the window open for the two teams to play each other Saturday afternoon.

The game had many twists and turns that would eventually lead to Cienega walking away with the 36-22 victory.

Cienega turned the ball over four times, all from fumbles that mostly came at midfield.

The Bobcats defense stood tall by creating three turnovers themselves, giving the offense some help along the way.

One of the stars on defense for Cienega was cornerback Trey Denetso, who had two picks. Here he is talking about what he saw on the field that led to those turnovers:

Another star on defense for Cienega was defensive lineman Random Aiello who took a fumbled ball by Ironwood Ridge 30 yards to the end zone. Here he is talking about what went through his mind when he picked up the ball:

On the offensive side for the Cienega, it was able to run the ball consistently with a total of 325 yards rushing on the day.

Out of those yards, Cienega running back Gabe Levy had 151 yards rushing on 23 carries and two touchdowns. Here he is talking about his day and how his line got stronger as the game moved along:
