Busy Day for Arizona Women’s Basketball

Tuesday was a busy day for Arizona women’s basketball as the preseason AP rankings were released for the 2020-21 basketball season that starts Nov. 25.

For the first time in program history, Arizona was ranked in the top 10 in the AP preseason poll, at No. 7.

The news also came out that Arizona guard Aari McDonald was named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award list given to the nation’s top shooting guard.

Last season, McDonald won the award while leading Arizona to its best season in recent memory with a record of 24-7.

McDonald averaged 20.6 points, 3.6 assists and 5.6 rebounds and shot over 45 percent.
