The Arizona Wildcats and coach Adia Barnes opened up its season with a 76-63 win over NAU. The win didn’t move Arizona higher in the Coaches Poll as the Wildcats saw itself stay at No. 7, setting up a top-ten matchup versus No. 9 UCLA Friday night.
With just one game under its belt, Arizona now has the challenging task of starting conference games while still trying to fine-tune its team.
Games have been rescheduled and canceled all across the country making it difficult for coaches to find teams to fill out the rest of their schedule. Arizona has had a difficult time of find games to replace the ones that had been canceled due to COVID-19 cases.
