Wave of Players Leave Arizona Football Entering Transfer Portal

Arizona fired coach Kevin Sumlin last Saturday after a disastrous tenure that has left the program in ruins and a shell of what it once was. Now the fallout from players who came to the university because of Sumlin and his staff is starting to occur.

Thursday afternoon, three players announced that they had put their names in the transfer portal in Robert CongelBoobie Curry, and starting quarterback Grant Gunnell which might be just the start of players leaving the program.

During Gunnell’s time at Arizona, he played in 12 games in two seasons with the Wildcats with over 1,864 passing yards, 15 touchdown passes, and threw just three interceptions.

While at Arizona, Curry went through injury issues and saw a limited amount of playing time, only collecting 16 catches for 157 yards and zero touchdowns.
