Arizona fired coach Kevin Sumlin last Saturday after a disastrous tenure that has left the program in ruins and a shell of what it once was. Now the fallout from players who came to the university because of Sumlin and his staff is starting to occur.
Thursday afternoon, three players announced that they had put their names in the transfer portal in Robert Congel, Boobie Curry, and starting quarterback Grant Gunnell which might be just the start of players leaving the program.

During Gunnell’s time at Arizona, he played in 12 games in two seasons with the Wildcats with over 1,864 passing yards, 15 touchdown passes, and threw just three interceptions.
WR Boobie Curry plans to transfer from Arizona, according to his father. Boobie hasn't entered the portal yet. He and Grant Gunnell were HS teammates and are very close friends.

While at Arizona, Curry went through injury issues and saw a limited amount of playing time, only collecting 16 catches for 157 yards and zero touchdowns.
#BearDown OL Robert Congel has entered the portal as a grad transfer; he transferred to Arizona from Texas A&M; played 15 games with #BearDown, starting games at both guard and center @rivalsmike @RivalsWoody @MattGOAZCATS
