Arizona athletics director Dave Heeke met with the media Friday to discuss the current football coaching search and provide insight into what the program is looking for in its next head coach.
The decision to terminate coach Kevin Sumlin will cost the department $7.5 million in buyout cost, adding to the estimated $43 million in deficit for Arizona due to the impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
