Drew Dixon enters transfer portal; Burns leaving for chance at NFL

Arizona football has coaches coming in, and, well, players still leaving.

Tucson’s Drew Dixon officially entered into the transfer portal and will leave the UA. He was a redshirt junior but will have two years of eligibility left.

It comes as no surprise given that was mentioned earlier this month. He opted out during the season.

In the last weeks, Arizona has lost Grant Gunnel (Memphis), Stanley Berryhill (Ball State) and Rhett Rodriguez .

Cornerback Lorenzo Burns announced he will be leaving for the NFL. He had 192 tackles and nine interceptions.

Just this morning, Arizona announced the hiring of former UA All-American Ricky Hunley to be the defensive line coach. New head coach Jedd Fisch is likely in the process of name a couple more coaches in the coming days, including former UA star Chuck Cecil, who had been on Kevin Sumlin’s staff as a defensive analyst the last three years.
