Arizona Basketball: Press Conference with Sean Miller

Arizona swept a tough road trip in Washington last week, taking care of Washington 80-53 and then winning a gutsy 86-82 double-overtime game over Washington State.

Arizona is 9-1 overall and 3-1 in the Pac-12 and getting better game by game but will not participate in any postseason tournaments due to self-imposed sanctions.

The Wildcats will host the L.A. schools this weekend at McKale Center with rival UCLA (6-0, 3-0) tied at the top of the conference standings with Oregon (6-0, 3-0). USC (6-2, 1-1) is a game behind Arizona for second place in the conference.

Arizona first plays USC on Thursday at 7 p.m.

During the trip to Washington, freshman Benedict Mathurin averaged 18.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals, earning Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors.

Here are coach Sean Miller and forward Ira Lee talking about the team’s upcoming games and shared their thoughts on the progression of this Arizona team:
