Arizona Women’s Basketball: Press Conference with Adia Barnes

Arizona came into last week ranked No. 6 in the country with games against No. 1 Stanford and California, which the Wildcats lost to last season on Senior Night.

Arizona was able to split the week, losing to top-ranked Stanford 81-54, then taking care of business against Cal in a 69-33 to finish off the week.

After the split, Arizona dropped one stop in the polls from No. 6 to No. 7 with a road trip to the Washington schools. Its game Friday at Washington is postponed because of positive COVID-19 cases in the Huskies’ program. The Wildcats are still scheduled to play at Washington State on Sunday.

Arizona freshman Lauren Ware came into the program as a top recruit with high expectations and has lived up to a five-star status by averaging 6.6 points and 6.0 rebounds with 11 blocks this season.
