Arizona lands MAC Defensive Player of the Year

Arizona coach Jedd Fisch has meticulously worked on rounding out the 2021 recruiting class, which has 15 players signed and six transfers committed to the program.

On Monday morning, Fisch added transfer number seven by landing former Western Michigan linebacker Tre Hayward, who is listed at 6-foot-1, 210 pounds.

During Hayward’s last season at Western Michigan, he collected 58 tackles in just six games, and in 2019, he was a monster on the field with 142 tackles and five sacks while winning MAC Defensive Player of the Year.
