Desert Thunder 14U Rosty 20-0 in tourney play after going unbeaten in Super Bowl Showdown

The Desert Thunder 14U Rosty team maintained its perfect record in tournament play this fall and winter going unbeaten in seven games Saturday and Sunday to win the Super Bowl Showdown at Sierra Vista.

The team, managed by Paul Rosthenhausler Jr., previously went 7-0 in the Southern Arizona Showdown in Tucson after going 6-0 in the Thanksgiving Festival in Phoenix.

Rosthenhausler, a former Sunnyside and Arizona Western baseball standout, and coach Jerry Cruz and assistant coach Chris Cobo have coached the team to a 22-2 overall record since October.
