Arizona is coming off a challenging stretch of playing four conference games in 10 days with two games against rival ASU and also against Stanford and California, winning three out of the four with the one loss against the Cardinal.
Although Arizona got three wins during that tough stretch, it struggled to find healthy players to step onto the court.
During the games against ASU, both forward Jordan Brown and guard Benn Mathurin suffered ankle injuries. Brown’s injury limited him in the first game against the Sun Devils, while Mathurin’s ended his night in the second game against the in-state rivals in McKale Center.
As Arizona (13-4, 7-4 Pac-12) travels to take on Utah and Colorado this week, it will get a needed boost with the addition of freshman Kerr Kriisa, who is eligible to play and will make his season debut for the Wildcats.
