Salpointe’s Jaya Nelson breaks 1,000 career points

Salpointe senior standout Jaya Nelson scored her 1,000th career point on an early bucket to help lead the Lancers past Pueblo 77-27 Monday night.

Salpointe moved to 6-0 on the year with a trip to Cienega (0-2) scheduled for Tuesday night. Nelson committed to play for Alderson Broaddus University in November.
