Arizona is coming off a four-game series sweep of Oregon State to open up conference play. During the series, the Wildcats woke up their struggling bats by crushing 12 home runs and driving in 33 runs showing why the lineup can be one of the nation’s best when rolling.
Although Arizona had an impressive four-game series sweep, the wins didn’t do enough to move the Wildcats in the USA Softball rankings as the team stayed put at No. 9 in the country.
Now, the team will head on the road to take on Stanford, who has an impressive 22-4 record and is riding a 10-game winning streak. The Cardinal are led by their pitching staff with a team ERA of 1.26, which is best for fourth in the nation and second in the Pac-12 behind UCLA.
