Arizona women’s basketball losing three players to transfer portal

Arizona went on a magical run to the NCAA tournament championship game, where it lost to conference foe Stanford in a close 54-53 contest to saw star guard Aari McDonald miss a game-winning 3-point shot.

The time has come to see how the 2021-22 roster will shape up before the season. Senior forward Sam Thomas has already announced that she will be coming back for one more season. In contrast, McDonald and Trinity Baptiste announced that they would be moving on towards the next step of their playing careers.

Arizona will have three roster spots open now after players Marta Garcia, Tara Manumaleuga, and Mara Mote plan on entering the transfer portal.
