Big Gets: Kriisa, Terry staying with UA

More good news for Arizona men’s basketball fans.

Guard Kerr Kriisa is going to stay with the program and assistant coach Jason Terry will remain on the coaching staff.

UA made the announcement this afternoon that Terry would remain with the program. It was almost a year to the day he returned to the program after 20-plus years being part of the NBA and more.

This past season was Terry’s first as a college assistant coach.

And Kriisa’s announcement was made through a report from NBA Draft Express via ESPN. Kriisa made his name available in the transfer portal last week, along with guard James Akinjo.

“Over the last week I’ve felt from their recruiting that they really want me here,” Kerr told ESPN. “I trust Tommy Lloyd 100% and I’m ready to get back to work.”

Both are welcome news to the program to a program hoping to get back to what it used to be. Already in the week Tommy Lloyd has received commitments from former Gonzaga big man Oumar Ballo and 7-footer Dylan Anderson, who is still in high school.

They will also join associate head coach Jack Murphy, who was retained as well.
