Nogales pitcher Roman Bracamonte to play for New Mexico State

Nogales pitcher Roman Bracamonte announced his commitment to play for New Mexico State on Saturday. The junior righty is 1-0 on the year with nine appearances for the Apaches. He has 44 strikeouts in 28.2 innings of work with 11 coming against Mesquite and 10 against Cienega.

Former Sahuarita standout Chris Barraza and Nogales standout Kevin Jimenez are sophomores for the Aggies this year. In addition, Sahuarita pitcher Ian Mejia transferred from Pima to New Mexico State. Sabino standout Jacob Wiltshire will be an Aggie in 2021. Nogales junior standouts Demetrio Crisantes and Saul Soto have also committed to play for New Mexico State as did Canyon del Oro standout Marcus Delgado, Nogales senior Matthew Bachelier, Nogales standout Thomas Teel and Salpointe standout Jack Rogers. Former Sahuarita standout Brendon Rodriguez also joined the team from Scottsdale CC and former Salpointe standout Ryan Grabosch will also be an Aggie.
