Arizona earned the No. 11 seed in the NCAA softball tournament and Mike Candrea‘s program will host a region this weekend that includes Villanova, UMBC, and Ole Miss with the winner advancing to a Super Regional.
Villanova and Ole Miss will play at 3 p.m. on ESPNU on Friday at Hillenbrand Stadium. Arizona and UMBC meet at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN3 on Friday in the nightcap.
Ole Miss features Cienega High School graduate Blaise Biringer, a freshman infielder with the Rebels.

The Wildcats (36-13) will potentially face a familiar foe in the Rebels, who played in Tucson in the 2019 Super Regionals in a best of three-game series. Arizona won the series 2-0 ending the program’s longest Women’s College World Series drought of nine years.
