Arizona football adds transfer linebacker from New Mexico State

After losing linebacker Treshaun Hayward, Arizona needed a linebacker to fill out depth on the roster.

The Wildcats added that depth Wednesday by picking up New Mexico State transfer linebacker Rashie Hodge Jr. to the 2021 roster.

Hodge Jr. originally transferred out of Glendale Community College to New Mexico State, accumulating 90 tackles, two forced fumbles and a pick.

Here’s a highlight of Hodges Jr. during his high school playing days:

Hodge Jr. played high school football in Arizona at Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix.

While at Arizona, new head coach Jedd Fisch has made an emphasis on in-state recruiting and out of the 13 transfers the Wildcats have for the 2021 recruiting class, five are from in-state schools.
