Fall Playoffs: Canyon del Oro and Salpointe advance to 4A volleyball semifinals

No. 2 Canyon del Oro beat No. 10 Bradshaw Mountain 3-0 Tuesday night at home to advance to the 4A semifinal round for the first time since 2016 and No. 4 Salpointe took care of No. 12 Cactus 3-0 to advance to the semifinals for the fifth time in the last six years – an era that includes three state championships.

The Dorados will host No. 3 Estrella Foothills on Thursday night and the Lancers will visit No. 1 Notre Dame. CDO and Estrella Foothills did not meet in the regular season but Notre Dame defeated Salpointe 3-0 two weeks ago.

Salpointe won the 4A state title last year and Canyon del Oro last made a championship appearance in 1980.
