Soccer: Brandon Bean Invitational Updates

Ironwood Ridge and Tucson High players, along with the referees, gathered at midfield before the match for a moment of silence in honor of a mother of one of the Nighthawk players who recently passed away. (Andy Morales/AllSportsTucson)

The Brandon Bean Invitational is held every year at Salpointe to honor a former player who passed away in 1992 after an on-field collision at a soccer scrimmage. In addition, the tournament also honors former player Laura Kea who died in an auto accident on her way to a soccer tournament.
