The Tucson Youth Football & Spirit Federation 14U All-Star Team defeated Nevada 24-20 on Tuesday to advance to the semifinals of the consolation bracket of the 2021 AYF National Championships 14U All-Star Tournament at Kissimmee, Fla.
Sean Young of the Oro Valley Dolphins scored two touchdowns and William Thwaits of the Vail Vikings score the other.
Carson Riley of the Vikings made a field goal and converted three extra-point attempts.
“The defense was outstanding and the offense took advantage of every turnover,” TYFSF president Julius Holt said.
The TYFSF 14U All-Star team plays Michigan on Thursday in the consolation bracket semifinal game at noon Tucson time.
