Reports: Ka’Deem Carey signs huge contract with the Stampeders

Former Canyon del Oro and University of Arizona running back Ka’Deem Carey signed the biggest contract for an American RB since Ricky Williams (Toronto, 2006) according to a report from “TSN Football Insider” Dave Naylor.

Carey led Canyon del Oro to an undefeated season and a state championship in 2009 as a junior before setting rushing and scoring records at Arizona. The Chicago Bears drafted Carey in the fourth round in 2014 and he was released in 2017.

Carey was on the Calgary Stampeders roster in 2018 and started playing in 2019. Carey finished the 2021 CFL season second in the league in rushing with 869 yards with seven touchdowns an he was a nominee for the CFL Most Outstanding Player award in 2021.

Carey signed a 2-year contract extension with Calgary according to the reports with no monetary value reported.
