Tucson Historic Sports Venues and Artifacts: We had six Miniature Golf establishments open at the same time

1970s advertisement.

Sir Goony Golf (1450 S. Alvernon), Green Acres Golfland (6118 E. Speedway), Magic Carpet Golf (6125 E. Speedway), Golf’n Things Recreation (6503 E. Tanque Verde), Oracle Acres (3538 N. Oracle) and Putt-Putt (4355 E. 22nd).

Golf N’ Stuff (Golf’n Things) is the only one that is still open. Funtasticks on Wetmore also offers miniature golf and the Glow Zone Mini Golf indoor place on Stone Ave. shut down in 2019 after a series of fires.

Goony Golf is now the location for a donut shop but it is the only location with artifacts still surviving on location with a piece of the artificial grass and a pile of broken up concrete of the statues still there.

Green Acres is now a Korean BBQ place (Fuddruckers), Magic Carpet is now Chuck E. Cheese (former statues are still around town), Oracle Acres is now a used car lot and Putt-Putt is an empty parking lot.
