Sunnyside college signing ceremony: Six athletes share event

Sunnyside High School recently held a signing ceremony featuring six of its athletes, including the first female wrestler in school history to sign with a college — Tatiana Hernandez at North Iowa Area Community College.

Others were softball player Briannay Galvez (Adams State), soccer player Florina Giron (Cochise College) and baseball players Martin Banuelos (Central Lakes College), Jesse Molina (Waldorf University) and Alex Lopez (Gateway Community College).

The school also had separate signing ceremonies for wrestlers Jaime Rivera Jr. (United States Military Academy West Point) and Rene Fragoso (ASU) in the last week that was reported by AllSportsTucson.com.
