Lloyd & UA add more depth to the backcourt with addition of Texas transfer Ramey

Arizona men’s basketball coach Tommy Lloyd has been a very busy many this week and beyond.

The Arizona program got its second commitment from a guard in as many days as senior Courtney Ramey announced he’ll be transferring from Texas.

He adds much-needed depth to the backcourt.

On Thursday, Cedric Henderson announced he was committing to Arizona via Instagram, and the program confirmed the commitment on Friday.

Henderson is a 6-foot-6 forward who played at Campbell.

Ramey averaged 9.4 point, 3.5 rebounds a game and 1.6 assists per game. He shot 35 percent from beyond the 3-point line. He originally entered the NBA draft after his senior year but decided to return to school for his last remaining year.

He’ll add depth to Kerr Kriisa and likely Pelle Larrson in UA’s backcourt.
