The Suncats softball 10-and-under team is seeking donations to help fund a trip to the Alliance Fast Pitch Nationals from July 26-31 at Oklahoma City at the same field used for the Women’s College World Series.
The players are from Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana and Vail.
Fundraisers include a hit-a-thon, members of the team selling chocolate bars at local tournaments, grocery stores and neighborhoods for $1 each and sponsor a girl for a day.
The team is also holding raffles and a cornhole tournament is schuedled at American Eat on July 9.
The Suncats are also accepting donations (it is a non-profit organization with a tax ID). Make checks payable to “Tucson Fierce” and in the memo write “DBA SUNCATS MARES.” The tax ID is Tucson Fierce Inc. EIN 84-5095401.
