Pima Update: Hat trick from Ernesto Osornio paces the men to a 9-0 victory over GateWay

The top-ranked Aztecs beat GateWay 9-0 on Saturday at home to open up conference action. PIma improved to 4-0 overall with former Glendale Ironwood standout Ernesto Osornio leading the way with a hat trick.

Nicholas Bianchi scored in the opening minute on an assist from Nicolas Nourry and then former Rincon/UHS standout Brian Vu took an offering from Bianchi in the 14th minute to the net. Vu assisted Declan Mullane in the 37th minute and Osornio (Mullane) scored his first goal in the 41st minute. Osornio scored again five minutes later and again in the 51st minute with Bianchi assisting on both goals.

Nourry scored in the 63rd minute (Mullane), Daniel Ehler in the 67th minute (Aiden Oliver) and Cristian Gutierrez cashed in on a penalty kick in the 70th minute for the 9-0 final.

The Aztecs finished with 16 shots on goals and sophomore Aaron Quezada collected five saves. Former Pusch Ridge standout Alex Rosas took the goal in the final 17 minutes.

The Aztecs will play at South Mountain on Tuesday in Phoenix. Game time is set for 10 a.m.
