Cienega Class of 2023 prospect Keron Watson and Gametime Recruiting & Consulting CEO/Founder Rodney Cox joined me for the latest podcast featuring one of the players Cox is assisting in the college recruiting process.

Cox, a former standout defensive back with ASU from 2004 to 2008, works with numerous Southern Arizona athletes in various sports at large and small schools with their attempt to get noticed by college recruiters.

Watson is a 6-foot-4 and 200-pound athlete who can play receiver, tight end and defensive back.

One of the leading prospects at those positions in Southern Arizona, Watson was invited as a guest of Arizona wide receivers coach Kevin Cummings during last week’s game with Colorado at Arizona Stadium.

In the podcast, Watson talks about that experience, which included meeting Tetairoa McMillan after the game and them discussing the receiver position. Watson has similar size to McMillan, who is listed at 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds.

Cienega (1-3) hosts longtime rival Marana (3-1) in a non-region game Friday. The Bobcats will look to snap their three-game losing streak, which has included starting quarterback Brayden Cherry missing time because of an injury.

Cienega's Keron Watson Career Receiving Stats

Watson is a senior WR/TE with the Bobcats, who play at the 5A level in Arizona.
