Through the first six games, three players were averaging scoring in double figures — Dixon 19.5, Ibarra 11.8 and Watson 10.0. … Touted CDO football player Sa’Kylee Woodard, a lineman with the Dorados, joined the basketball team after his team lost in the 4A semifinals last week. … CDO’s leading scorer from last season — Class of 2023 guard Tyson Helms, who averaged 20.1 points a game — is no longer with the program.

Coach’s comments: “We are rebuilding for the future. We are very pleased with the commitment by our players to our offseason workouts.”
