The Dodgers promoted former Sahuaro standout Alex Verdugo from the Great Lakes Loons to the their Class A Advanced club, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.
Verdugo was immediately put in the starting rotation with the Quakes and is batting second and playing centerfield.
Verdugo is listed as the No. 7 prospect in the Dodgers organization.
