Arizona and coach Adia Barnes finished the season one shot away from a national championship and shocked the women’s college basketball world in doing so.
After revamping the program and doing so quicker than anyone thought was possible, Barnes received a contract extension on March 18 that extended her through the 2025-26 season.
With both LSU and Baylor going through extensive coaching searches and Barnes looking like a potential candidate, the athletic department gave her a raise on her extension, making the contract worth five years $5.85 million dollars during that span.
