The most celebrated walk-on in Arizona football history — tough-tackling Chuck Cecil — must love it that Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne hired Rich Rodriquez to coach the Wildcats. Rodriguez was a walk-on himself at West Virginia in 1981. He eventually earned a scholarship under coach Don Nehlen.
