This is a unique Web site for youth and high school athletics, combining in-depth analysis and professional reporting from award-winning journalist Javier Morales, the site’s founder. Morales, a Tucson native, also founded the now defunct (but popular) UAHoopsCoach.com and WildAboutAZCats.com sites.

Morales reported for The Arizona Daily Star for 13 years and the Arizona Republic for one before leaving the newspaper business. During his time at the Star, he covered Arizona athletics, including work as the beat reporter for the Wildcats’ men’s basketball team that won the 1996-97 national championship.

His form of writing and reporting is presently through blogs and freelance work. In 2010, he placed first for the Arizona Press Club metro sports reporting award category.

He returned to Tucson in 2018 after living in the Las Vegas area for 17 years. He has a daughter named Mackenzie.
