CBSSports.com’s Palm: Second-ranked Arizona still a No.1 seed

CBSSports.com bracketologist Jerry Palm said this morning on Sirius/XM that Arizona deserves to remain a No.1 seed despite Saturday’s loss to Cal in which starting forward Brandon Ashley suffered a season-ending foot injury.

“They still belong in that spot because of what they’ve shown this season,” Palm said on the College Sports Nation show.

AP Top 25 voters agree as they have Arizona ranked No. 2 behind unanimous No. 1 Syracuse. The rankings were just released. Arizona spent a school-record eight straight weeks at No. 1

The Wildcats are 21-1 overall and in first place in the Pac-12 with an 8-1 record.
