Latest Arizona Wildcats Twitter feeds: Plenty of praise for Class of 2014 recruits

Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne knows of the inevitable tomorrow: Nick Johnson will become the Wildcats’ seventh different player to win the Pac-12 Player of the Year award and the eigth selection overall (Sean Elliott earned it twice).

ESPN analyst Seth Greenberg rates Sean Miller as a national coach of the year candidate, let alone a sure-bet as the conference coach of the year.

Former Arizona Daily Star reporter/columnist Jack Magruder, now with FoxSportsArizona.com weighs in on his conference honors, including four with Arizona and ASU ties.

Los Angeles Times veteran columnist Chris Dufresne offered an interesting viewpoint of recruits headed to Arizona and UCLA next season.

As good as Aaron Gordon has been this year, many people I talked to during last summer’s AAU circut said Johnson would have more of an immediate impact on Arizona’s program.

Another talented Arizona recruit, Kadeem Allen, has emerged as one of the best the storied Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College program has produced.

Aside from Johnson, Allen, point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright and power forward Craig Victor is an NBA talent in the making — 7-footer Dusan Ristic, who committed to Arizona on Saturday.

Jackson-Cartwright is not playing and focusing on his academics at Los Angeles’ Sierra Canyon High School team, which won a California divisional consolation championship Saturday.

Arizona’s softball team is off to an impressive start. Could this be another memorable season?
