I must start with a shameless plug of my Bleacher Report article detailing the five primary reasons why the Arizona Wildcats should be concerned about Utah tomorrow.

Wait a minute … who was behind this? Larry Scott?

What East coast bias? Nick Johnson earns his second first-team All-American selection (U.S. Basketball Writers Association) after The Sporting News put him on its first team Monday. And why not over Kilpatrick? Johnson is the best player on one of the best teams all season.

Utah has shown good ball movement and decisions with the ball all season ranking second in the Pac-12 in assists with 15.8 a game.

Utah’s Delon Wright, who attended junior college because he was overlooked out of high school, is a handful in many facets of the game. Northern Arizona, not Arizona or ASU, recruited him out of Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger High School in 2010. Now there is talk that Wright might forego his senior season for the NBA.

It will be a sea of red tomorrow at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with Utah and Arizona fans in the stands come high noon.

Arizona’s interim coaching staff in 2008-09 — Russ Pennell and Mike Dunlap — have landed collegiate head coaching gigs. They get a congratulations from former Arizona player Reggie Geary, who also coached at Arizona during Lute Olson’s retirement phase from 2007-09.
