Arizona’s elite Class of 2014 recruit Stanley Johnson won his fourth consecutive California state high school title tonight with Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei.
Johnson, a 6’5″ versatile perimeter player, finished with 25 points and eight assists in Mater Dei’s 71-61 over Oakland’s Bishop O’Dowd High School. Johnson’s four Open Division state titles included victories over current Arizona players Aaron Gordon and Elliott Pitts.
Mater Dei defeated Gordon’s San Jose (Calif.) Archbishop Mitty’s team last year and Pitts’ Dublin (Calif.) De La Salle team in 2011.
Class of 2015 recruit Tyler Dorsey, who has committed to Arizona, also won a California state title on Saturday night. His Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco team defeated Folsom 63-54 in the Division II title game.
Dorsey, who will likely sign with Arizona in November, finished with 21 points.

Stanley Johnson is signing autographs, taking pictures, shaking hands. His mother wants him to treat the fans nicely and he's doing that.
