The Greg Byrne Bowl, as it is being called, will pit Arizona against Mississippi State on the football field on 2022 and 2023.
The schools, which have never met in football, will play each other in Tucson in 2022 with a return trip to Mississippi State the following season.
Byrne, Arizona’s athletic director since 2010, held the same position at Mississippi State before coming to Tucson.
Doug Haller of the Arizona Republic reports that Arizona is the only Pac-12 school that has not scheduled a non-conference contest against a Power 5 conference school through 2020.
