Arizona Wildcats coach Rich Rodriguez and his staff landed a two-way athlete and another tight end today as the program now has 14 commitments for the Class of 2015.

Verbal commitments are non-binding. Arizona coaches are unable to comment about recruits until they sign a national letter of intent in February.

Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Vista cornerback/wide receiver Cedric Peterson and Silverdale (Wash.) Central Kitsap tight end Brion Andruze reportedly told Arizona coaches today they will play for the Wildcats starting in 2015.

Andruze is the third tight end who has given Arizona a commitment. The others: Fresno (Calif.) Roosevelt’s Ricky McCoy and Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta’s Jamie Nunley.

A former track and field athlete, Peterson told Scout.com, “I would say that the college coaches like my hands, quickness and strength the most about me. I wanted to put on some more mass in the off-season and I am at 190-pounds right now.”

In an interview with NCSASports.org, Anduze commented that he “was raised in a military family where structure, character, and commitment are very important”

“I enjoy hard work, the competition on the field, and the brotherhood of my team both on and off the field,” Anduze said. “I am a good student, respectful of others, and lead by example. I look forward to advancing to the next level of play in college and contributing my talent and God given ability to a great college football program.”

Anduze was recruited heavily by Army, Air Force and Eastern Washington, although Washington and Cal showed interest.

Peterson chose Arizona over Cal, Washington, Washington State and Nebraska, among others.
